The Brookline Arts Center also presents Xtension, a two-person exhibit featuring artists Nygel Jones and Jameel Radcliffe, and curated by Rebecca Greene. The installation will be on view at the Beacon Street Gallery from January 15 to March 27, 2022. The Beacon Street Gallery is located at 1351 Beacon Street in Brookline.
Nygel Jones constructs abstract wooden panels and frames to use as a canvas for his acrylic paintings. He approaches these works like putting together pieces of a puzzle or playing a game of strategy, resulting in intriguing geometric compositions.
Jameel Radcliffe creates mixed media abstract paintings, exploring impasto marks and bright moments of color. Working as an artist and educator, Jameel’s paintings are influenced by the daily experiences in his community.
