Normally RSO is made by the cannabis decarboxylation process in an oven and extracting the plant material into a high-proof ethanol like Everclear, then letting the ethanol evaporate off. This is a very effective method for at home use but results in a high-residual-solvent (ethanol) final product. While we are not looking to replace traditional RSO, the market is increasingly asking for solventless options for exisiting products. Given that, we wanted to offer our patients a solventless option for an RSO-style full spectrum extract. We modified solventless extraction methods to keep the extract as full spectrum as possible while still being clean and of high quality and using only mechanical methods of extraction. Our new method includes a modified decarboxylation procedure that prevents oxidation and loss of the potent cannabinoids and terpenes found in the extract, same as we treat our other high-quality extracts when crafting our Liquid Shatter.
